EENA, the European Emergency Number Association, seeks an Advocacy Officer to shape and implement its strategy on EU legislation affecting emergency communications. The role involves coordinating with EU institutions, national authorities, and partner organisations to promote public safety across Europe.

You will monitor policy developments, draft position papers, and contribute to policy-related events and EU Projects while collaborating with the communications team to ensure coherent

Qualifications

• Experience in EU affairs, policy or advocacy is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English; other EU languages a plus.
• Commitment to public safety and EU policy processes.

Responsabilités

• Define and implement EENA's advocacy strategy on EU legislation affecting emergency communications.
• Drive advocacy initiatives, including Digital Networks Act coverage.
• Monitor EU policy developments relevant to public safety and emergency services.
• Coordinate with EU institutions, national authorities and partner organisations.
• Participate in policy events, workshops and conferences.
• Draft policy recommendations, position papers and reports.
• Conduct research and analyse public safety policies and legislation.
• Prepare briefings and presentations to disseminate findings and positions (EU Projects).
• Collaborate with communications to align messages with strategy.
