EERA, Brussels, is seeking a Communications Officer to implement strategy and lead communications for EU-funded projects during a maternity leave replacement. You will coordinate newsletters, press materials, websites and social channels, in close cooperation with an existing communications colleague.

The role requires a degree in communications-related fields, 3+ years in EU project communications, strong English, CMS and design tool skills, and the ability to work independently with attention

Qualifications

• University degree in Communications, Digital Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Media Studies, Languages, Political Communication, European Studies or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience including communications or dissemination in EU-funded projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; other EU languages are a plus.
• Experience with CMS (WordPress), social media management, mailing platforms (MailChimp), MS Office (incl. SharePoint), and basic design/video tools (Canva).
• Ability to take over ongoing work, organise priorities and work autonomously.
• Attention to detail and quality in all outputs.
• Knowledge of EU energy and climate policy is a plus.
• Availability to start at short notice.
• Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the EU.

Responsabilités

• Implement the communication strategy and editorial calendar for EERA.
• Draft, edit and disseminate newsletters, press releases, articles, web content and social media posts.
• Update the EERA website and manage social media with KPI tracking.
• Prepare briefing materials, presentations and speaking notes for EERA representatives.
• Support event communication: concepts, materials, speaker coordination, logistics and external providers.
• Design visuals and support basic video production.
• Liaise with members, Joint Programmes, policy and research colleagues on communications.
• Track and report on communication performance.
• Carry out EU-funded project communication and dissemination activities in line with plans.
• Develop materials for project audiences and support project events.
