ITProposal is seeking a Senior R&D Engineer to develop and optimize technically complex software in a C++ and Linux-based environment. The role blends hands-on development with team leadership and coaching.

You will analyse, design, and improve software components, lead development teams, and drive CI/CD, testing, and agile processes in a dynamic R&D setting in Belgium. Remote work is possible, with full-time workload.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of software development experience.
• Strong experience with C++, Linux, Git, and CI/CD.
• Proven experience in an R&D or technically complex environment.
• Experience leading and coaching development teams.
• Strong programming, testing, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of CMake, DevOps, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with embedded or high-performance software is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Python, SIP, or 3GPP/MCX is a plus.
• Experience with telecom, communication, or mission-critical systems is advantageous.
• Dutch: CEFR C2/native-level proficiency.
