Dalemans is seeking an Embedded Software Developer to strengthen its R&D team in Liège, Belgium. You will contribute to gas detection systems and work on embedded software in C for ARM microcontrollers within a multidisciplinary team.

The role involves developing PC tools, managing version control with Git, validating software with tests, writing technical documentation, and staying abreast of technological trends. Proficiency in C and Python, plus knowledge of FreeRTOS, are valued.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of embedded programming experience, preferably on ARM microcontrollers, in commercial product development.
• Proficient in C and Python; knowledge of C++ and C# is a plus.
• Comfort with real-time development (FreeRTOS) and bare metal.
• Ability to develop PC tools; knowledge of Qt and/or Robot Framework is a plus.
• Electronics knowledge to understand the hardware environment and low-level interfaces.
• Knowledge of CAN or Modbus is a real asset.
• Awareness of safety-critical systems; experience with functional safety standards is a plus.
• Familiar with Atlassian suite.
• Fluent French with very good English understanding.

Responsabilités

• Development of embedded software, mainly in C on ARM microcontrollers.
• Development of PC tools to configure and/or update devices.
• Management of the iterative process including version control (git) and deployment
• Development and execution of embedded software validation tests
• Support for analyzing and resolving problems reported by users
• Writing technical documentation related to assigned projects: software architecture, technical specifications, preparation of documentation for certifications
