Atlas Copco Group in Wilrijk, Belgium, is seeking an embedded software engineer to design, implement, test and evolve embedded software platforms used across our product portfolio.

You will develop low-level components in C/C++/Rust, troubleshoot, and apply CI/CD and automated testing while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and long-term reliability. The role operates in a hybrid model at the Belgium site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related field.
• Hands-on embedded software development in C/C++/Rust.
• Solid understanding of OS internals, RTOS, embedded architectures, and Linux environments.
• Knowledge of software design, OO design, and Python scripting is a plus.
• From entry-level to several years of experience in embedded code.

Responsabilités

• Develop and evolve low-level embedded software components in C/C++/Rust.
• Troubleshoot issues from development to field support and perform root-cause analyses.
• Apply CI/CD practices and automated testing to ensure quality.
• Participate in architectural design reviews and maintain technical specifications.
• Support release activities for long-term platform reliability.
• Work in a hybrid model at the Wilrijk site in Belgium.
