Engibex is a Belgian engineering consulting firm seeking an experienced embedded software engineer with a focus on automotive diagnostics. The role requires 5+ years in embedded software, strong systems knowledge, and familiarity with ASPICE and AUTOSAR.

English proficiency is essential, and knowledge of ISO26262/ISO21434 is a plus. You will work across software and system teams on challenging high-tech projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in Embedded SW development.
• Experience in Automotive SW development, specifically in Diagnostics.
• Strong understanding of embedded hardware/software systems.
• Experience with automotive software development standards (e.g., ASPICE).
• Good understanding of software architecture principles.
• Experience with Vector AUTOSAR stack is a plus.
• Knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO26262) and Cybersecurity (ISO21434) is a plus.
• Experience with bootloader design and HSM firmware is a plus.
• Fluent in English.

• Specify, design, implement, and document software functionalities.
• Work closely with the SW Verification and Validation team to develop test specifications and write test cases.
• Develop new software and maintain existing products.
• Collaborate with System and Application software teams to solve complex technical challenges.
• Assist in diagnosing software-level issues.

Profile / Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• >5 years of experience in Embedded SW development
• Experience in Automotive SW development, specifically in Diagnostics
• Strong understanding of embedded hardware/software systems
