Job summary
E2 Drives, based in Wavre, is expanding and seeking a Drivetrain Engineer to advance next-generation eBike motor and gearbox systems. You will lead gear and drivetrain design, perform simulations, and ensure durable, high-performance powertrains for premium rider experiences.
Ideal candidates have a Master’s in Engineering, proven transmission experience, and proficiency with KissSoft/SMT tools and CAD. English fluency is required; French is advantageous.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering or mechanical design discipline.
- Proven experience with transmission systems, bearings, shafts, and load distribution.
- Experience with gear calculations for metal and plastic gears.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks) for 3D modeling and drawings.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T standards and clear manufacturing drawings.
- Fluent in English; French is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design of gears within drive units and define lubrication strategies.
- Conduct system-level simulations and NVH analyses for durability and quiet operation.
- Analyze test data and troubleshoot gears or components to drive design iterations.
- Mentor and coach younger engineers and share knowledge cross-functionally.
- Communicate engineering decisions with data-driven and concise justification.
