Job summary

argenx is seeking a Scientist to join our R&D team in Gent/Zwijnaarde. You will lead discovery projects on therapeutic antibodies, coordinating research with internal and external partners.

PhD in immunology, strong English, proactive, capable of mentoring others, and contributing to the Immunology Innovation Program. This is a hands-on role with ownership of experimental plans and data interpretation in a fast-growing biotech.

Qualifications

• PhD in immunology or related field is required.
• Experience with FcRn and FcγR biology and antibody engineering is a plus.
• Motivated, proactive scientist with a collaborative mindset and strong communication skills.
• Fluent in English and able to present and discuss scientific data effectively.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end scientific ownership of defined discovery projects, including target immunobiology and experimental workplans.
• Lead data collection, interpretation, and reporting of experiments; communicate insights and risks to multidisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate internal and external activities with CROs and partners to maintain timelines and milestones.
• Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to team development.
• Explore novel disease biology and potential targets to support the Immunology Innovation Program.
