Nowjobs in Ghent, Belgium, is hiring a DevOps Engineer to maintain the infrastructure that powers our 100% digital staffing platform. You’ll work in a small, impactful team, focusing on Kubernetes and cloud-native tooling to keep the platform resilient and scalable.

You’ll join a hybrid environment with an office in Ghent and flexible working arrangements, contributing to incident response, automation, and tooling improvements.

Qualifications

• Solid, hands-on experience with Linux and Bash in a production environment.
• Strong grasp of networking fundamentals: DNS, load balancers, proxies, web servers.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience; able to troubleshoot and fix issues beyond deployment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update Helm charts and monitor upstream changes.
• Monitor clusters and workloads; respond to alerts before incidents occur.
• Manage secrets, certificates, and access securely and timely.
• Identify and fix security issues; harden infrastructure as needed.
• Own incidents end-to-end: diagnose, fix, document, and prevent recurrence.
• Automate repetitive tasks; reduce manual toil across pipelines and infra.
• Support GitLab pipelines, ArgoCD, and Argo Workflows as needed.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineer on the Internal Developer Portal to improve tooling.
