Maersk in Belgium seeks a Compliance Support role focused on customs compliance to minimize risk and align with regulatory requirements. You will work within regional teams, supporting a broad range of customs declarations and customer interactions in a fast-paced international environment.

Responsibilities include drafting notifications, file follow-ups, KPI generation, and maintaining high accuracy while handling sensitive information.

Qualifications

• Native level Dutch and fluent English required.
• Experience and competence within the Customs business.
• Previous experience in logistics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Stream Software.

Responsabilités

• Assist in drafting notifications to customers.
• Follow up files with deadlines set by customs authorities.
• Communicate with customers and customs mainly via email.
• Generate KPIs for monitoring performance and efficiency.
• Register litigations and prepare files by requesting documents from customers.
• Monitor customs procedures at country level and ensure compliance.
• Perform internal quality control of processes and documents.

The position should be well acquainted with strategy at a Customs Operations level with a particular focus on the Customs Compliance business in the Country.

This position supports the Compliance Manager and the Senior Compliance Advisor in managing compliance tasks in line with the organizational strategy, goals, policies and processes.

Job Responsibilities

• Support in drafting notifications to customers.
• Follow-up of files, taking into account the deadline set by the customs authorities.
• Communication with customers and customs, mainly via e-mail.
• Generating KPI’s.
• Registration of litigations.
• Preparation of files by requesting documents from customers.
• Monitor and follow-up on customs procedures on a country level.
• Performing internal quality control.
