Overview

Compliance Specialist should actively strive to contribute to compliance and understand legal requirements as well as internal work processes to minimize risk for Maersk, including through regulatory and customer requirements. The position should be well acquainted with strategy at a Customs Operations level with a particular focus on the Customs Compliance business in the Country. The role supports the Compliance Manager and the Senior Compliance Advisor in managing compliance tasks in line with the organizational strategy, goals, policies and processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the customs operations organization: assist in drafting notifications to customers.
• Follow-up of files, taking into account the deadline set by the customs authorities.
• Communicate with customers and customs, mainly via e-mail.
• Generate KPIs.
• Register litigations.
• Prepare files by requesting documents from customers.
• Monitor and follow-up on customs procedures on a country level.
• Perform internal quality control.

• Native level Dutch and fluent English (written and verbal).
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office and Stream Software.
