Job summary

BESIX is seeking a seasoned Cost Control Manager for the BELUX region. The role leads a team of cost controllers across multiple construction projects, ensuring IFRS-aligned reporting and robust cost management.

You will partner with Project Managers and senior leaders to deliver reliable financial insights and drive continuous improvement. The candidate brings a Master’s in a relevant field, 10+ years of experience including cost control, and strong Excel/financial tools skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in finance, economics, business administration or related field.
• Ten+ years of relevant professional experience including five years in cost control or project controlling.
• Proven experience leading and developing finance professionals.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex financial information into clear business recommendations.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial reporting tools.
• Fluent in Dutch, French and English.
• Willingness to visit construction sites across Belgium and Luxembourg.
• Coaching and team development.
• Proactive stakeholder management with good communication skills.
• Constructive challenge and sound judgement.
• Ability to influence Project Managers and senior leaders.
• Capacity to prioritise across multiple projects and deadlines.
• Continuous-improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the BELUX finance team of cost controllers and drive continuous improvement in cost-control practices.
• Own consolidation of project results across BELUX with IFRS alignment and timely reporting.
• Oversee cost control of major construction projects, including forecasting, actual-cost follow-up, and cash-flow planning.
• Partner with operations and senior management to drive business improvements and actionable insights.
