Job summary

Safran Aircraft Engine Services Brussels is a subsidiary of Safran Aircraft Engines, based at Brussels Airport, focused on inspection, maintenance and repair of LEAP jet engines for Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737MAX families. We seek a Configuration & Logistics Officer to ensure engine parts are available for assembly according to the configuration and customer timelines.

The role involves analysing logistics, coordinating internal suppliers, and ensuring readiness of modules for production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or technical direction, or equivalent through experience.
• Interest in aircraft engines and desire to learn more about them.
• You are communicative and proactive with a structured work approach.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• You will analyse and provide the logistical needs to complete the engine.
• You read and understand the logistical aspects of the Bill of Work for the engine.
• You detect critical points in the completion process and seek solutions (e.g., Exchanges, engine switches).
• You direct internal suppliers (warehouse, backshop, subcontracting, purchasing).
• You complete modules and ensure preparation according to production planning.
• You support the assembly line with missing/defective parts.
• You analyse interchangeability of pieces in accordance with configuration.

To strengthen our Supply Chain Team we are looking for a Configuration & Logistics Officer who ensures that for a given engine, the pieces are made available for assembly within the configuration and timeframe agreed with the customer.

Your role:

• You will analyse and provide the logistical needs to complete the engine.
• You read and understand the logistical aspects of the Bill of Work for the engine.
• You detect critical points in the completion process and look for an appropriate solution to achieve the objectives (e.g. Standard Exchanges, switches between different engines).
• You direct your internal suppliers (warehouse, backshop, subcontracting, purchasing).
• You complete the modules and ensure that they are prepared according to the predetermined production planning.
• You support the assembly line with missing and/or defective parts.
• You analyse the interchangeability (technical and qualitative) of pieces, in accordance with the established configuration.

Candidate skills & requirements

Your profile:

• You have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or a technical direction, or equivalent through experience.
• You have an interest in aircraft engines and want to learn more about them.
• You are communicative and dare to ask questions.
• You work in a structured, accurate and proactive way.
• You work analytically and come up with practical solutions.
• You organize, divide and control your work independently.
• You speak French or Dutch, you also have a good knowledge of technical English.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.
• You work in shifts, from Monday to Friday (6 am - 2 pm, 2 pm - 10 pm).
