Safran Aircraft Engine Services Brussels, based near Brussels Airport, is seeking a Configuration & Logistics Officer to ensure engine parts are available for assembly within agreed configuration and timing. The role involves analyzing logistical needs, understanding the Bill of Work, and coordinating internal suppliers.

You will work in shifts (6 am–2 pm, 2 pm–10 pm) and communicate in French or Dutch with a good command of technical English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or a technical direction is required.
• Interest in aircraft engines and willingness to learn more.
• Communicative and proactive work approach.
• Structured, accurate work style and ability to work independently.
• Analytical mindset with practical problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in French or Dutch; good technical English.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.

Responsabilités

• You will analyse and provide the logistical needs to complete the engine.
• You read and understand the logistical aspects of the Bill of Work for the engine.
• You detect critical points in the completion process and look for an appropriate solution (e.g. Standard Exchanges, switches between different engines).
• You direct your internal suppliers (warehouse, backshop, subcontracting, purchasing).
• You complete the modules and ensure that they are prepared according to the predetermined production planning.
• You support the assembly line with missing and/or defective parts.
• You analyse the interchangeability (technical and qualitative) of pieces, in accordance with the established configuration.

Safran Aircraft Engine Services Brussels is a subsidiary of Safran Aircraft Engines, based at Brussels Airport (Zaventem & Steenokkerzeel, Belgium), specialized in the inspection, maintenance and repair (MRO) of the advanced LEAP jet engines that power the latest generation of the Airbus A320NEO & Boeing B737MAX narrow body families. To strengthen our Supply Chain Team we are looking for a Configuration & Logistics Officer who ensures that for a given engine, the pieces are made available for assembly within the configuration and timeframe agreed with the customer.
Your role:

• You will analyse and provide the logistical needs to complete the engine.

Profiel

Your profile:

• You have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or a technical direction, or equivalent through experience.
• You have an interest in aircraft engines and want to learn more about them.
• You are communicative and dare to ask questions.
• You work in a structured, accurate and proactive way.
• You work analytically and come up with practical solutions.
• You organize, divide and control your work independently.
• You speak French or Dutch, you also have a good knowledge of technical English.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.
• You work in shifts, from Monday to Friday (6 am - 2 pm, 2 pm - 10 pm).
