Elia Group is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to develop, implement, and manage cloud solutions across Azure Cloud and Kubernetes platforms. You will build automated infrastructure using Terraform and maintain CI/CD pipelines, while ensuring security and reliability in a hybrid Belgian setting.

The role requires strong DevOps and GitOps experience, with on-site and remote work options. You will engage with cross-functional teams, contribute to standby rotations, and participate in ongoing

Qualifications

• Significant experience writing Terraform configurations and modules; OpenTofu/Biceps a plus.
• Solid experience deploying apps with containers (Docker) & orchestration (Azure Kubernetes); ArgoCD, Helm knowledge.
• Experience in DevOps and GitOps models with infra-as-code, config-as-code, policy-as-code.
• Proficient in translating designs into fully developed Terraform code.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud; relevant certifications a plus.
• Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts, subnets, routing, load balancing, and cloud security.
• Experience in enterprise-scale environments, building highly available IaaS and PaaS solutions.
• Understanding of landing zones, cloud-native security, monitoring and logging tools, and Well-Architected Framework principles.
• Proficient in scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
• English required; French/Dutch/German a plus.

• Develop, test, debug, and troubleshoot containerized infrastructure.
• Build CI/CD pipeline configurations to orchestrate provisioning and deployment of large and small-scale systems.
• Ensure solutions are well-engineered, maintainable, and delivered on schedule.
• Collaborate with business and engineering teams to deploy new infrastructure in the Azure Platform.
• Monitor the availability, latency, and overall system health.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, test, and production environments.
• Communicate status and risks to product and management teams.
• Assist in automating and streamlining operations and processes.
