Fusit in Ghent is seeking a Senior CloudOps Engineer to shape the cloud platform underpinning our SaaS environment. You will design and evolve AWS infrastructure in a multi-account setup, and lead CDK/TypeScript standards across teams.

You will build reusable patterns and guardrails, troubleshoot complex production issues, and provide architectural guidance with engineering partners. On-call rotations are part of the role, and autonomous ownership is highly valued at Fusit.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on AWS infrastructure experience in multi-account environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS CDK and TypeScript.
• Excellent production troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with platform engineering or SaaS cloud environments.
• Able to work autonomously and take ownership.

For a leading SaaS environment in Ghent, we’re looking for a Senior CloudOps Engineer to help shape the cloud infrastructure and platform foundation used by autonomous engineering teams.

What will you do?

• Design and evolve AWS infrastructure in a multi-account environment.
• Own and improve AWS CDK (TypeScript) standards and best practices.
• Build reusable patterns and guardrails that enable engineering teams to manage their own infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex production and infrastructure issues.
• Work closely with engineering teams and provide architectural guidance.
• Participate in on-call and escalation rotations.

What are we looking for?

• Principal/Staff-level experience with AWS infrastructure.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS CDK and TypeScript.
• Strong coding and scripting skills.
• Excellent production troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with platform engineering, SaaS or complex cloud environments.
• Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership.
• Experience using AI coding/engineering tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or Codex.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML infrastructure.
• Experience modernising mature cloud environments.
• Strong mentoring and technical leadership skills.
