afarax is seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Platform Engineer to join the Data Platform team for a long-term assignment in Brussels. The role focuses on building and operating a cloud-native data platform and collaborating across Cloud Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, DevOps and Data technologies.

You will work hands-on with AWS, Kubernetes, IaC, automation and Snowflake, delivering scalable data solutions and robust CI/CD pipelines in a hybrid Brussels setup.

Responsabilités

• Build and operate cloud-native data platform infrastructure.

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Data Platform Engineer to join the Data Platform team of a large enterprise organisation for a long-term assignment in Brussels.

Contract: Full-time – Long-term assignment - Brussels / Hybrid

The Role

You will contribute to the design, development, automation and operation of a cloud-native Data Platform, working across Cloud Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, DevOps and Data technologies.

We are looking for someone with a strong engineering mindset who is comfortable working hands-on across AWS, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, automation and Snowflake.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and operate cloud-native data platform infrastructure.
• Develop platform automation and engineering tooling using Python and Shell scripting.
• Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Design and operate solutions within the AWS ecosystem, including networking, IAM, compute and storage.

Your Profile

• Strong hands-on experience with Python and Shell scripting.
• Solid expertise in Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong knowledge of AWS architecture and core cloud services.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Amazon EKS.
• Strong experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines; Bitbucket is an asset.
• Good knowledge of Snowflake administration and security, including RBAC and permission management.
• Experience managing Snowflake infrastructure with Terraform.
• Strong understanding of software engineering and DevOps best practices.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.

• Broader experience with Cloud-Native Data Platforms, DevOps and Platform Engineering
