Fusit in Ghent is seeking a Senior CloudOps Engineer to shape the cloud infrastructure and foundation used by autonomous engineering teams.

You will design AWS infrastructure, own CDK standards in TypeScript, build guardrails, troubleshoot production issues, and participate in on-call rotations with cross-functional teams.

For a leading SaaS environment in Ghent, we’re looking for a Senior CloudOps Engineer to help shape the cloud infrastructure and platform foundation used by autonomous engineering teams.

What will you do?

• Design and evolve AWS infrastructure in a multi-account environment.
• Own and improve AWS CDK (TypeScript) standards and best practices.
• Build reusable patterns and guardrails that enable engineering teams to manage their own infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex production and infrastructure issues.
• Work closely with engineering teams and provide architectural guidance.
• Participate in on-call and escalation rotations.

What are we looking for?

• Principal/Staff-level experience with AWS infrastructure.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS CDK and TypeScript.
• Strong coding and scripting skills.
• Excellent production troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with platform engineering, SaaS or complex cloud environments.
• Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership.
• Experience using AI coding/engineering tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or Codex.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML infrastructure.
• Experience modernising mature cloud environments.
• Strong mentoring and technical leadership skills.
