Showpad is seeking a Principal Cloud Ops Engineer to lead cloud infrastructure with deep AWS expertise. The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, on-call readiness, and collaboration across teams to scale our AI-powered platform.

Location is Ghent, Belgium with two days on-site in a hybrid model, and Bucharest, Romania as part of the hybrid setup. You’ll drive infrastructure design, automation, and incident resolution at scale.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on AWS infrastructure experience at a principal level.
• Proven ability to design, implement and scale cloud architectures.
• Strong IaC experience with CDK or related tooling.
• Proficient coding/scripting to automate workflows.
• Track record of diagnosing and resolving live production incidents.
• Self-directed with ability to quickly learn new systems.
• Clear, proactive communication and ownership in on-call rotations.

Responsabilités

• Design, implement and improve core AWS-based infrastructure to support platform expansion.
• Contribute to infrastructure as code practices using CDK and related tooling.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex infrastructure and platform issues.
• Investigate systems deeply and reverse-engineer problems when needed.
• Maintain reliable operational support, including on-call and escalation rotations.
• Collaborate closely with teammates to share context and unblock work.
