afarax is seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Platform Engineer to join the Data Platform team for a long-term assignment in Brussels. The role focuses on building and operating a cloud-native data platform and collaborating across Cloud Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, DevOps and Data technologies.

You will work hands-on with AWS, Kubernetes, IaC, automation and Snowflake, delivering scalable data solutions and robust CI/CD pipelines in a hybrid Brussels setup.

Qualifications

• Experience with Python and Shell scripting.
• Terraform / IaC proficiency.
• AWS architecture knowledge.
• Hands-on Kubernetes / EKS.
• Git and CI/CD pipelines experience.
• Snowflake administration and security (RBAC).
• Snowflake infrastructure with Terraform.
• Strong software engineering and DevOps practices.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication in cross-functional teams.

Responsabilités

• Build and operate cloud-native data platform infrastructure.
• Develop platform automation and engineering tooling using Python and Shell scripting.
• Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform and IaC.
• Design and operate solutions within the AWS ecosystem (networking, IAM, compute, storage).
• Deploy, operate and troubleshoot containerised apps using Kubernetes and Amazon EKS.
• Design, develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with Git-based development workflows, including code reviews and testing.
• Administer Snowflake environments (security, RBAC, privileges, resource hierarchy).
• Provision Snowflake resources through Terraform.
• Automate environment provisioning, access management and platform governance.
• Apply strong software engineering, DevOps and operational excellence practices.
• Troubleshoot complex platform issues with cross-functional teams.
