Vivid Resourcing is seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Platform Engineer to join a Brussels-based data platform team on a freelance, long-term contract. The role focuses on building and automating a secure, scalable cloud-native platform using AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform and Snowflake.

You will collaborate with data engineers, software developers, DevOps and security teams to automate infrastructure provisioning and support data solutions deployment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Data Platform Engineer or similar.
• Strong Python and Shell scripting skills.
• Hands-on Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience.
• Deep AWS knowledge (IAM, networking, compute, storage).
• Solid Kubernetes and Amazon EKS experience.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong Git knowledge; Bitbucket preferred.
• Snowflake administration including RBAC and security.
• Experience provisioning Snowflake via Terraform.
• Automation of platform provisioning and security governance.

Responsabilités

• Build and operate a cloud-native data platform within the AWS ecosystem.
• Develop automation and platform tooling using Python and Shell scripting.
• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
• Deploy and maintain containerised applications on Kubernetes and Amazon EKS.
• Design, develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with data, software, infrastructure and security teams to improve reliability.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise platform components.
• Improve platform security, governance and scalability.
