Distinctive Advisory seeks an experienced Full Stack Data Platform Engineer for a long-term consulting assignment within a large Belgian organization. The role blends Cloud, DevOps, data platform engineering and software engineering to build, automate and operate cloud-native data platforms.

Responsibilities include hands-on development with Python, Terraform, AWS, Kubernetes and Snowflake, with emphasis on automation, testing and reliability.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Python and Shell scripting.
• Solid Terraform / IaC expertise.
• Deep knowledge of AWS: IAM, networking, compute, storage.
• Strong Kubernetes and Amazon EKS experience.
• Good command of Git and CI/CD pipelines; Bitbucket a plus.
• Hands-on Snowflake administration: RBAC, security model, roles, lifecycle.

We are currently looking for an experienced Full Stack Data Platform Engineer for a long-term consulting assignment within a large Belgian organization.

The role sits at the intersection of Cloud, DevOps, Data Platform Engineering and Software Engineering, with a strong focus on building, automating and operating cloud-native data platforms.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong hands-on experience with Python and Shell scripting
• Solid expertise in Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
• Deep knowledge of the AWS ecosystem: IAM, networking, compute, storage, etc.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and Amazon EKS
• Good command of Git and CI/CD pipelines - Bitbucket experience is a plus
• Hands-on knowledge of Snowflake administration, including:
  • RBAC and security model
  • Roles, privileges and resource hierarchy
  • Object lifecycle and environment management
• Experience managing and provisioning Snowflake through Terraform / IaC
• Strong software engineering practices: testing, automation, code reviews, version control and operational excellence

Nice to have:

• Professional/business-level Dutch and French, both spoken and written
• Previous experience within the public sector
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional engineering environment
• Hybrid working model: up to 2 days of homeworking per week, with 2 to 3 days of onsite presence required

This is a role for someone who is genuinely hands-on - not only designing the platform, but also building, automating, troubleshooting and improving it.
