Job summary

CareerBee in Leuven, Belgium, seeks a C/C++ Software Engineer to join its high-tech imaging business. You will own the core software environment, modernise the codebase, improve architecture, reliability and test coverage, and make it easier to integrate camera technology into real-world applications.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on with modern C++ and C languages.
• Experience building native software for Windows and Linux.
• Ability to work with legacy codebases and improve them pragmatically.
• Solid understanding of clean software architecture, testing, build processes and code quality.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD and regression testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve camera control software and SDKs in C/C++.
• Advance Windows GUI and cross‑platform SDK for Windows and Linux.
• Design robust software architectures and developer interfaces.
• Improve software quality with unit tests, regression tests, CI/CD and version control.
• Work on camera communication, image acquisition, recording and viewing.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, application and R&D teams for end-to-end integration.
• Help customers and partners use the software through workflows, APIs and docs.
• Contribute to Linux, ARM edge devices, image processing and AI inference where relevant.
