Vivid Resourcing is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer in Liege to join a tech-driven imaging company. You will design, develop and optimise embedded software close to hardware, focusing on low-level firmware and bare-metal development.

The role involves collaboration with hardware and R&D teams to develop, integrate and optimise software for imaging systems using C/C++ on STM32 and other microcontroller platforms. Embedded Linux is a plus, French-speaking is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in embedded software development.
• Strong C and/or C++ programming skills.
• Solid experience with microcontroller development.
• Experience with STM32 or comparable microcontrollers.
• Good understanding of hardware/software interfaces and embedded systems.
• Experience debugging embedded systems at a low level.
• Embedded Linux is a plus.
• French-Speaking is a preference.

The Role:

We are currently working with an innovative technology company based in Liege, specialising in advanced image processing and imaging systems. They are looking to strengthen their R&D team with an experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer.

This role is particularly suited to an engineer with a strong background in low-level embedded software, firmware and bare-metal development, who enjoys working close to the hardware and contributing to technically challenging products.

You will work closely with the hardware and R&D teams to develop, integrate and optimise embedded software for sophisticated imaging systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain embedded software and firmware using C/C++
