SB Recruitment & Services seeks a Buying & Sourcing Manager for a Brussels-based fashion & textiles client. You will lead a team of professionals, shape the global sourcing strategy and ensure alignment with the brand's evolving direction.

The role blends strategic vision with hands-on leadership, overseeing supplier partnerships, production processes and quality standards to drive efficiency, profitability and brand integrity. Fluency in Dutch and English is essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in buying & sourcing within the fashion industry, ideally international.
• Strong knowledge of textiles, garment construction, fitting and production processes.
• Proven ability to optimise processes, drive transformation and manage costs.
• Excellent commercial awareness, negotiation and analytical capabilities.
• Solid people management skills and change leadership experience.

Buying & Sourcing Manager – Fashion & Textiles – Brussels

For one of our clients, we are looking for an entrepreneurial and results-driven Buying & Sourcing Manager who combines strategic vision, technical product expertise and strong leadership skills.

As a member of the Management Team, you will report directly to the company's owners and lead a team of 7 professionals.

Beyond managing buying and sourcing activities, you will play a key role in implementing the brand's evolving strategy and transforming its international sourcing and production model.

• Strategy & Brand Development: Contribute to translating the evolving brand strategy into concrete buying, sourcing and product decisions, ensuring consistency with the brand's positioning and identity.
• Buying & International Sourcing: Develop and optimise the international buying and sourcing strategy, balancing quality, costs, margins and delivery reliability.
• Business Transformation: Lead the optimisation and transformation of existing buying, sourcing and production processes, driving efficiency and structural cost improvements.
• Supplier Management: Develop strong international supplier partnerships and negotiate competitive commercial agreements.
• Product Quality & Expertise: Safeguard high standards in fabrics, garment construction, fit, finishing and quality, working closely with Product Development.
• Commercial Performance & Leadership: Monitor KPIs and margins, drive business results and coach your team through organisational change.

Who Are We Looking For?

An entrepreneurial and strategically minded fashion professional with:

• Extensive experience in Buying & Sourcing within the fashion industry, preferably internationally.
• Strong technical knowledge of textiles, garment construction, fitting and production processes.
• Proven experience in process optimisation, business transformation and cost management.
• Excellent commercial awareness, negotiation and analytical skills.
• A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on, results-driven approach.
• Strong people management and change management skills, with the maturity to lead teams through transformation.
• Fluency in both Dutch & English is essential.
