Job summary

Umicore AG & Co. KG in Brussels, Belgium, is seeking a Business Process Expert- Global OE to join the Battery Materials Solutions unit.

The role centers on delivering expert work within the Business Management Expertise team, applying best practices, and driving Lean and Six Sigma improvements across data flows and processes. You will collaborate cross-functionally, mentor colleagues, and lead complex improvement projects to enhance efficiency and performance in a global setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, business, or similar.
• 5+ years in an operational role in an industrial environment.
• 2+ years in project management.
• 2+ years in Lean/Six Sigma or related activities.
• Good written and spoken English communication.

Responsibilities

• Delivers expert work in the Business Management Expertise team with high quality and timeliness, applying best practices and standards.
• Analyzes problems, recommends options, and implements improvements in methods, tools, or data flows.
• Collaborates with adjacent teams and stakeholders, communicating insights and recommendations clearly.
• Collaborates cross-functionally to deliver high-quality outcomes and knowledge sharing.
• Mentors less experienced colleagues, reviewing deliverables and elevating team standards.
• Drives Operational Excellence across all aspects of the role, embedding quality principles, Lean methodologies, and continuous improvement practices to enhance efficiency and performance.
• Lead important and complex improvement projects with cross-department scope to deliver tangible improvement to the business.

Your Key Accountabilities

Who we are looking for

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in engineering, business or similar
• 5 years of experience in an operational role in an industrial environment
• 2 years of experience in project management
• 2 years of experience in operational excellence or relevant activities (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
• Good written and spoken English communication

We are looking for a person who will be able to work in Nysa or Hobboken

From time to time required for business travel
