Qualifications

• Bachelor/Masters level engineering degree required.
• Extensive experience in leading multidisciplinary projects in an industrial setting.
• Strong communication and reporting skills; fluent in Dutch and English.

Responsabilités

• Define the project scope in consultation with the client and specify deliverables and constraints.
• Assemble and lead the project team and manage resources.
• Oversee technical design and prepare specifications/tender documents.
• Direct and monitor internal and external resources, including contractors and design partners.
• Maintain client contact to capture changes and implement scope updates.
• Report progress to stakeholders and ensure on-time delivery.

Your Key Accountabilities

Within the Project Engineering department, you will set up and lead technical industrial projects, from idea to realization. These projects are carried out for production facilities, infrastructure, and R&D. We have different type of projects within different disciplines. Some projects are in the start-up phase, some projects are already ongoing

You are accountable for all aspects of your project:

• defining the project scope. In consultation with the client:
  • defining specific deliverables: what is complete when the project is finished?
  • defining constraints (budget, planning)
• assembling and leading the project team
• technical design of the entire project
• preparing specifications / tender documents for orders, engineering firms, and contractors (both internal and external)
• selection of orders, engineering firms, and contractors. Also consider specific resources, e.g., designers, but also outsourcing (part) projects
• directing and monitoring all resources, both internal and external
• maintaining contact with the client throughout the project to capture and assess changes. If agreed upon, implementing them in the project (scope changes)
• reporting to stakeholders

Who we are looking for

• Engineering degree with 10+ years of experience in an industrial environment, including 7+ years leading multidisciplinary technical projects
• Proven track record in delivering complex industrial and CAPEX projects from concept through commissioning and handover
• Strong background in electromechanical engineering; knowledge of related disciplines such as chemistry, process engineering, or E&I is an advantage
• Thorough understanding and practical application of project management methodologies, including scope, cost, schedule, quality, risk, and stakeholder management
• Strong analytical capabilities combined with a strategic, big-picture perspective
• Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all organizational levels
• Proven experience in leading, coaching, and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams
• Results-oriented professional with a strong affinity for technology, engineering, and continuous improvement
• Fluent in Dutch and professionally proficient in English
