IMEC in Leuven, Belgium, is seeking an R&D Engineer for Bevel management to join the BAW team within MATA. You will define and validate materials and processes, working across disciplines in a dynamic environment.

The role involves cleanroom activities, collaboration with researchers and industry partners, and publication of results. A master’s degree (or PhD) in a related field and experience with metallurgy, polymers or plasma processes are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in chemistry, physics, materials science or engineering; PhD or equivalent experience is a plus.
• Experience with metallurgy, plasma processes or polymers is beneficial.
• Foundry/OSAT experience in die-to-wafer bonding and semiconductor materials is advantageous.
• Ability to analyze large data sets with scripts (MATLAB, Python) and JMP.

Responsabilités

• Define, organize and validate materials and processes during development.
• Identify metrology solutions to characterize materials and processes.
• Contribute to research programs (3D memory, 3D integration) and collaborations with external partners.
• Collaborate with integration, process, hardware teams and industrial partners; report results to internal/external teams.
