Michael Page is recruiting a Business Control and Operations Specialist to join our client in Brussels. The role focuses on owning critical operational processes, ensuring compliance and driving process improvement in a regulated banking environment.

You will manage KPI and regulatory reporting, support new product implementations, and train operational teams while balancing customer experience with regulatory requirements. Fluency in Dutch or French and English is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent through experience.
• 3 to 5 years of experience within banking, financial services, insurance, or another highly regulated environment.
• Solid understanding of retail banking operations and customer lifecycle processes.
• Experience in AML/KYC, compliance, operational risk management, or process governance.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience with reporting, performance monitoring, and data analysis.
• Knowledge of CRM systems, workflow tools, and financial services operations.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented approach.
• Ability to manage complex cases while balancing regulatory requirements and customer experience.
• Fluency in Dutch or French with professional proficiency in Dutch or French and English.

Responsabilités

• Own and oversee critical operational processes and control frameworks.
• Act as the escalation point for complex operational cases and policy-related decisions.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures, AML/KYC, GDPR and regulatory requirements.
• Manage sensitive customer and account-related operations.
• Prepare and analyse KPI, SLA and regulatory reporting.
• Drive process improvement initiatives and operational excellence.
• Participate in audits, investigations and risk mitigation activities.
• Support the implementation of new products, systems and operational changes.
• Develop procedures and provide training to operational teams.
