Job summary

Expleo Group in Belgium seeks a senior systems engineer to lead design and development of future autonomous trains. You will analyze project needs, define architectures, write requirements and coordinate with RAM, Safety, Cyber, software, hardware and V&V teams.

The role requires a BAC+5 engineering degree, strong modelling skills (UML/SysML, ASAP/Capella) and knowledge of rail signaling (ERTMS/CBTC). A hybrid work arrangement and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with BAC+5 level in aerospace, software, electronics, automation, electricity or robotics, or computer sciences.
• Experience with modelling using UML/SysML and ASAP or CAPELLA; tools include PTC IM or CAPELLA.
• Proven requirement management experience including interfaces, architecture and traceability; safety systems background.
• Knowledge of rail signaling (ERTMS/CBTC) and system design interest.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, the needs of our commercial or R&D projects
• Analyze the technical risks and define the adequate solution
• Elaborate formal modelling and requirements writing
• Define the specifications to lead the development teams to develop the future autonomous trains.
• Define the system architecture of our future solutions
• Ensure compliance of our solution with standards and European technical interoperability specifications (TSI)
• Be the partner of RAM, Safety, Cyber, software, hardware and V&V team to develop design concepts

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree (BAC +5) in Aerospace, Software, Electronics, Automation, Electricity or Robotics, Computer sciences (Machine learning, Artificial intelligence).
• Experienced in (UML, SADT, SysML) modelling by using ASAP (Advanced System Architecture Program) methodology with PTC IM tool or ARCADIA methodology (with CAPELLA tool), Matlab /Simulink
• Experienced in requirement management (specification, interfaces, architecture, traceability) - Background in safety systems (e.g. automotive, aerospace, railways...)
• Interest in system design or system engineering - Knowledge of railways signaling systems (ERTMS ideally, CBTC...)

Desired skills

• A good command of French and English are mandatory.
