Expleo Group is seeking a software engineer in Belgium to contribute to architecture, development and testing across Python, C#, and C++ components. You will collaborate with hardware designers and test engineers, maintain the toolchain, and support system integration in a regulated industry context.

The role emphasizes code quality, automated testing, and continuous improvement, with a focus on embedded Linux environments and compliant software practices.

Formación

• Master’s/Engineering degree in IT/CS/Electronics.
• Up to 3 years of software development experience.
• Experience in regulated industries is a plus.
• Proficient in Python, C# and C++.
• Work on different versions of Python in parallel.
• Knowledge of Git, GitLab and software configuration management.
• Knowledge of network communication protocols.
• Familiarity with embedded Linux.

Responsibilities

Software Specification & Architecture

• Work in collaboration with architects to define clear, robust software specifications.
• Help shape system architecture by participating in design reviews and technical discussions.

Development & Testing

• Develop software components primarily in Python, C#/C++.
• Ensure quality of the development by using test methodology.
• Ensure quality and reliability through rigorous unit testing, integration testing, and validation.
• Set up and maintain the software toolchain and version control using Git/GitLab.

Integration & Support

• Support integration between different software components and between software and hardware systems.
• Collaborate closely with test engineers, hardware designers, and other software teams.

Continuous Improvement & Standardization

• Reuse and enhance existing solutions where possible (including COTS).
• Take part in continuous improvement initiatives, proposing better practices and tooling evolution.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or Engineering Degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, or related field
• Medio profiles to up to 3 years of experience in software development.
• Previous experience in a regulated industry (e.g., rail, aerospace, medical, defense, etc.) is a plus.
• Proficient in Python, C# and C++.
• Work on different version of python in parallel
• Knowledge of Git, GitLab, and software configuration management.
• Knowledge on network communication protocols
• Familiarity with embedded Linux.
