Job summary

GFGlobalFoundries Inc. in Belgium is seeking an Applications Engineer to help build a high-performance software tool for pre-silicon simulation of MIPS RISC-V processors.

You will contribute to design, development, and maintenance of features that improve customer workflows and adoption. You will collaborate across engineering and customer teams, apply testing and debugging techniques, and help showcase the solution to developers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong programming fundamentals with experience supporting customers.
• Interest in developer tools, IDEs, frameworks, extensions, or simulation solutions.
• Curiosity about computer architecture, RISC-V, simulation, or performance tuning.
• Clear communication and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of application features that address customer needs.
• Collaborate with engineers, cross-functional teams, and customers to understand requirements.
• Learn and apply testing, debugging, and performance analysis techniques.
• Participate in code reviews and help improve code quality and practices.
• Support customer adoption of the tools and platform, integrating with their workflows.
