Job summary

GFGlobalFoundries Inc. in Belgium is seeking an Applications Engineer to help build a high-performance software tool for pre-silicon simulation of MIPS RISC-V processors.

You will contribute to design, development, and maintenance of features that improve customer workflows and adoption. You will collaborate across engineering and customer teams, apply testing and debugging techniques, and help showcase the solution to developers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong programming fundamentals with experience supporting customers.
• Interest in developer tools, IDEs, frameworks, extensions, or simulation solutions.
• Curiosity about computer architecture, RISC-V, simulation, or performance tuning.
• Clear communication and a collaborative mindset.

In this role, you will support customers and business development teams grow the use cases and adoption of our pre-silicon, pre-rtl simulation solution. You will also have opportunities to work directly with customers during onboarding, support, and troubleshooting, with guidance from experienced engineers.We are building a very exciting solution that will allow our customers to accurately tune software performance long before hardware becomes available by using an advanced hybrid simulation tool that combines instruction set simulation with microarchitectural models of microprocessor pipelines and advanced visualization tools. Our solution does not end there.
