Oper invites an AI-native DevOps Engineer to join our Antwerp-based engineering team and scale the infrastructure behind Herman, our AI mortgage origination agent. You will own cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and platform reliability, across EU sovereign clouds, with a focus on security and compliance in a regulated fintech.

In this hybrid role, you’ll work 2–3 days per week from the Antwerp office, build Terraform-driven infra, run Kubernetes workloads with Argo CD, and collaborate with

Qualifications

• 4+ years of DevOps or platform engineering experience in production infrastructure.
• Strong cloud experience, mainly Google Cloud Platform; multi-cloud with AWS/Azure/IBM Cloud.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and Argo CD.
• Proficient with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab or GitHub.
• Solid scripting skills, ideally Python; Bash or Typescript welcome.
• Collaborates closely with developers and non-developers, and values security/compliance.
• AI-native mindset: leveraging agents to write code and workflows, while you oversee architecture.
• Excellent communication, creativity, and a growth mindset.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage our infrastructure platform through Terraform.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab or GitHub) for fast, repeatable deployments.
• Run our Kubernetes workloads with GitOps via Argo CD.
• Manage cloud infra as code on GCP and IBM Cloud.
• Support developers and non-developers, unblock deployments, and improve usability.
• Own security and compliance for the platform in a regulated fintech.
• Manage secrets, identities, and certificates with proper isolation.
• Participate in on-call duties to ensure system availability.
• Develop agentic workflows and AI-assisted infrastructure tooling.
