Catalay is looking for an Adjunct Contract Manager to support contract managers on an infrastructure project in Antwerp, Belgium. You will handle contractual communications, manage changes, and help monitor risks to protect the client’s interests.
The role requires a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction or law and at least two years of relevant experience, with excellent Dutch language skills. On-site work in Antwerp is expected.
Our client is delivering a complex infrastructure project in which contractual interests, technical considerations and stakeholder requirements converge. As Adjunct Contract Manager, you will support the Contract Managers throughout the project lifecycle, helping to oversee contractual communications and changes, monitor risks and protect the client’s contractual and financial interests.
Support the Contract Managers with contractual communications before, during and after the works.
Coordinate and follow up testing and acceptance processes within system-based contract management, and contribute to system, process and product audits.
Guide contractual changes from request through final decision, evaluating and negotiating potential changes with regard to the client’s contractual and financial interests.
Maintain and report an up-to-date overview of contractual changes, and contribute to project progress reporting and the identification of risks.
Help translate stakeholder requirements into contractual agreements, identify process improvements and share knowledge with other Contract Managers to support a consistent approach.
A bachelor’s degree, preferably in civil engineering, construction or law.
At least two years’ relevant experience in infrastructure, construction or civil engineering.
Experience in contract management and/or contractual follow‑up, with knowledge of claims management and contractual changes.
Excellent spoken and written Dutch.
Useful, but not essential: stakeholder management; system‑based contract management (SCB) and/or risk management.
You will be employed by Catalay and work within our client’s team.
Location: Antwerp, Belgium, with on‑site attendance.
