Job summary

Stellar Energy is seeking an Accounting Manager – Benelux to lead Belgium accounting activities and collaborate with the European Finance team. You will oversee the general ledger, close processes, and ensure accurate reporting under Belgian GAAP and IFRS.

The role requires fluent French, Dutch and English, with experience in internal controls and team leadership. You will coordinate audits and drive process improvements across the Benelux region within an international organisation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Solid experience in general accounting, financial reporting and internal controls.
• Good knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP.
• Previous team management experience.
• Fluent in French, Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

For an international company, I’m looking for an experienced accounting professional to lead the accounting activities in Belgium and work closely with the wider European Finance team.

Your responsibilities:

• Oversee general ledger accounting and ensure the accuracy of balance sheet accounts
• Manage monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities
• Ensure accurate financial reporting under Belgian GAAP and IFRS
• Coordinate audits and act as the main point of contact for external auditors
• Monitor internal controls, reconciliations and accounting procedures
• Lead and support the local RTR team, working closely with international shared service teams
• Drive process improvements and contribute to finance projects

Your profile:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• Solid experience in general accounting, financial reporting and internal controls
• Good knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP
• Previous team management experience
• Fluent in French, Dutch and English
• A hands-on, proactive professional who enjoys improving processes and working in an international environment
