Allianz Brussels seeks an experienced Accountant Expert to join our Reporting and Accounting Policies team. You will work on closing for multiple entities including pension funds, holding, real estate and insurance subsidiaries, driving improvements and controls.

You will lead analytical reviews, oversee annual statements, and contribute to AI initiatives while collaborating with Finance and Operations daily.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to monthly and quarterly closing under Belgium, IFRS 9/17 and Solvency 2 GAAPs
• Perform key controls and analytical reviews
• Oversee production of annual financial statements including disclosures and reporting (SFCR, RSR)
• Contribute to process improvements and simplification of controls
• Participate in the SimpliFi project (SAP S/4HANA migration)
• Collaborate daily with Finance and Operations departments
• Develop the use of AI within the organization

Are you an experienced accounting professional with a passion for change management? Then we are looking for you to join our dynamic team at our Brussels office. If you’re eager to take on new challenges and make an impact, this is your chance!

What will you do?

As part of our dedicated Reporting and Accounting Policies team, you will work alongside 5 skilled professionals responsible for reporting and closing management for our 8 companies, including pension funds; holding, real estate and insurance companies. As Accountant Expert, next to analysis and controls, you’ll be part of projects to continuously improve our processes.

Your responsibilities:

• Contribute to the Monthly and Quarterly closing under different accounting GAAPs (Belgium, IFRS 9/17 and Solvency 2).
• Perform Key controls (analytical reviews, closing checklist…).
• Supervise production of annual financial statements including disclosures, statistical information and qualitative reporting (SFCR, RSR).
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and simplification of our processes and controls.
• Actively participate in our SimpliFi project (change of our Accounting Platform to SAP S/4HANA).
• Collaborate daily with other Departments (Finance, Operations…).
• Develop the use of AI in our organization.

You have strong analytical skills to understand the logic and trends behind the numbers and can communicate this in an understandable way to different levels in the organization. Furthermore, you bring:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance and/or insurance (accounting, controlling, actuarial, audit).
• A University Master Degree (preferably Accounting, Economics or Finance).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English and Dutch (minimum B2) – French would be a plus
• A good knowledge of IFRS 17/9 regulation and SAP would be highly appreciated
