Allianz Benelux is seeking an experienced Accountant Expert for our Brussels office. You will join the Reporting and Accounting Policies team, working with five colleagues on reporting and closing for eight entities including pension funds, holding, real estate and insurance companies.

You will drive change through projects and AI initiatives and collaborate daily with Finance and Operations teams. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in Finance/Insurance, a Master’s degree in

What will you do?

As part of our dedicated Reporting and Accounting Policies team, you will work alongside 5 skilled professionals responsible for reporting and closing management for our 8 companies, including pension funds; holding, real estate and insurance companies. As Accountant Expert, next to analysis and controls, you’ll be part of projects to continuously improve our processes.

Your responsibilities:

• Contribute to the Monthly and Quarterly closing under different accounting GAAPs (Belgium, IFRS 9/17 and Solvency 2).
• Perform Key controls (analytical reviews, closing checklist…).
• Supervise production of annual financial statements including disclosures, statistical information and qualitative reporting (SFCR, RSR).
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and simplification of our processes and controls.
• Actively participate in our SimpliFi project (change of our Accounting Platform to SAP S/4HANA).
• Collaborate daily with other Departments (Finance, Operations…).
• Develop the use of AI in our organization.

You have strong analytical skills to understand the logic and trends behind the numbers and can communicate this in an understandable way to different levels in the organization. Furthermore, you have a solution-oriented mindset and proactive approach to problem solving. You have a structured workstyle and pay attention to details.

Furthermore, you bring:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance and/or Insurance, with expertise in areas such as Accounting, Controlling, Actuarial, or Audit.
• A Master’s degree from a university, preferably in Accounting, Economics, or Finance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Dutch (minimum B2 level). Knowledge of French is considered a valuable asset.
• A solid understanding of IFRS 17/9 regulations, GAAP principles and SAP, which would be a significant advantage.
