Job summary

Taronga Zoo Sydney is seeking an experienced Contact Centre Officer to support Zoo Friends members via phone and email. This full-time role sits in the Marketing, Comms & Fundraising team, focusing on member services, memberships, reservations, and education bookings.

You will handle inquiries, process payments, and contribute to revenue targets with strong service standards. You will work in a collaborative contact centre environment, build stakeholder relationships, and assist in onboarding

Qualifications

• Experience in a Contact Centre or administration role using a variety of products.
• Excellent customer service with strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to follow processes to provide a smooth customer journey.
• Financial aptitude for handling payments and end-of-day reconciliation.
• Hold a current Working with Children Check.
• Full-time, Monday to Friday, with standard hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, timely responses to customer enquiries via phone and email.
• Ensure customer service standards are met and products match customer requirements.
• Input accurate information into Taronga Systems with attention to detail.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in achieving revenue targets through effective servicing of stakeholders.
• Create and renew memberships and manage member enquiries.
• Assist in training new staff and coordinate casual support.
• Attend relevant meetings on behalf of Contact Centre when required.
• Comply with Taronga’s Customer Service Charter and sustainability/work health standards.
• Report any WHS incidents per Taronga guidelines.
