Job summary

Downer is seeking a Health & Safety Performance and Programs Manager to govern Zero Harm initiatives and drive improvements in health, safety and wellbeing outcomes across the business. You will analyze performance data, develop dashboards and materials, and lead safety programs with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable results.

The role reports to the Head of Zero Harm Performance and Assurance and requires strong governance, communication and change-management capabilities to influence

Qualifications

• Formal health and safety qualifications with advanced safety-management system review and development.
• A minimum of five years’ practical experience in a similar role.
• Advanced experience in program governance, performance measurement, data analysis and statistical interpretation.
• Ability to translate strategy into actionable programs and lead organisational change.
• Strong communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Govern the portfolio of Zero Harm improvement initiatives, aligning programs with business objectives and measurable outcomes.
• Analyse Zero Harm performance data and produce strategic reporting, insights and recommendations for business leaders.
• Lead safety improvement programs focused on injury reduction, critical controls and continuous improvement.
• Develop performance frameworks, dashboards, training content and communication materials that support behavioural change.
• Build capability and collaborate with leaders, Zero Harm teams, operational personnel and external partners to deliver effective solutions
