Job summary

Downer Energy & Utilities is seeking a Zero Harm Advisor (NG4D) to support safe delivery across Australia. You will work with project teams, engineers and contractors to embed Zero Harm practices in operations.

This role is predominantly field-based, requiring on-site coaching, field observations, investigations and reporting to drive practical improvements and compliant outcomes across diverse projects. You will contribute to risk assessments, SWMS reviews and onboarding, while maintaining

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent.
• Experience in a health and safety advisory or operational safety role.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental management systems.
• Experience conducting field-based coaching, inspections and audits.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical Zero Harm and environmental advice to project teams.
• Maintain a strong field presence with frontline teams.
• Coach and influence personnel to implement effective controls.
• Support legislation and client requirements implementation.
• Conduct field observations, inspections and audits, closing actions.
• Lead or support investigations including ICAM where required.
• Support injury management and return-to-work planning.
• Assist development of Zero Harm Plans and risk registers.
• Facilitate workforce onboarding and compliance verification.
• Prepare monthly reporting and data analysis.
• Promote Zero Harm awareness and contribute improvements.
