Job summary

The Salvation Army in New South Wales seeks a Team Leader, Youth Services, to lead a dedicated team of youth caseworkers and counsellors. The role oversees intake, case management and client-centered support across Wyong and Hamilton locations, ensuring high-quality services that meet funding and organisational standards.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Social Work, Welfare, Community Development or a related field (or equivalent sector experience).
• Extensive experience in youth or community services.
• Minimum 2 years' experience leading and supervising staff in a social services environment.
• Knowledge of case management, trauma-informed practice and youth-focused service delivery.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to the mission and values of The Salvation Army.
• Current National Police Check, NSW Working With Children Check and Australian Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team to deliver youth services.
• Oversee day-to-day service delivery, including intake, case management and support planning.
• Provide guidance on complex case management matters.
• Drive continuous improvement of service delivery practices and processes.
• Monitor service performance, compliance, budgets and client outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting while fostering a collaborative, accountable team culture.
