Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Team Leader, Youth Services to guide a dedicated team of youth caseworkers and counsellors across the Central Coast and Newcastle regions. You will provide leadership, ensure high-quality, client-centred support, and align services with funding and organisational standards.

You will oversee intake, case management and therapeutic programs, driving continuous improvement and staff development in a collaborative, values-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of youth or community services teams.
• Experience guiding casework and counselling teams.
• Strong knowledge of trauma-informed approaches in youth services.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders and staff.
• Commitment to mission and values of The Salvation Army.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team to deliver client-centred youth services.
• Oversee intake, case management and support planning processes.
• Provide guidance on complex case management matters.
• Drive continuous improvement of service delivery practices.
• Monitor performance, budgets and client outcomes; maintain accurate reporting.
