Job summary

CVGT Employment is seeking a Youth Employment Mentor to support young people aged 15-24 in the Transition to Work program. You will provide tailored, person-centred support to help participants set goals, build confidence and access meaningful opportunities.

Responsibilities include caseload management, coaching, connecting with community services, and collaboration with schools and employers to create inclusive pathways.

Qualifications

• Qualifcation in Community Services, Youth Work, Employment Services or related field is highly regarded.
• Strong emotional intelligence and an empathetic approach.
• Proven ability to build rapport with diverse participants in a culturally sensitive way.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload, providing tailored support across vocational and non-vocational needs.
• Build trust-based relationships; assess needs and deliver individual and group coaching to boost employability and motivation.
• Connect participants with community services, advocate for resources, and support them in sustaining employment or education outcomes.
• Engage employers, schools, and community networks to create inclusive pathways for young people.
• Maintain accurate administration records, contribute to continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with program requirements.
