Job summary

CVGT Employment is seeking a Youth Employment Mentor to support young people aged 15-24 in the Transition to Work program. You will provide tailored, person-centred support to help participants set goals, build confidence and access meaningful opportunities.

Responsibilities include caseload management, coaching, connecting with community services, and collaboration with schools and employers to create inclusive pathways.

Qualifications

• Qualifcation in Community Services, Youth Work, Employment Services or related field is highly regarded.
• Strong emotional intelligence and an empathetic approach.
• Proven ability to build rapport with diverse participants in a culturally sensitive way.

As a Youth Employment Mentor in the Transition to Work program, you’ll support young people aged 15 - 24 to overcome barriers and build brighter futures through employment and education. You’ll provide tailored, person-centred support that helps participants set goals, build confidence, and access meaningful opportunities.

• Maintain accurate adminstration records, contribute to continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with program requirements.

What You'll Bring

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about youth empowerment and brings the right mindset and strengths across the following areas:

• A qualification in Community Services, Youth Work, Employment Services or a related field (highly regarded).


• A strengths-based, empathetic approach with strong emotional intelligence.


• Proven ability to build rapport with diverse participants in a culturally sensitive way.


• Strong organisational skills, adaptable and results-driven, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment.


• Highly proficient across digital platforms, with the ability to manage and navigate multiple systems efficiently.


• Full work rights in Australia, with the ability to obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
