Job summary

As part of the teaching leadership team, you will drive instructional improvements, mentor staff, and oversee programs that promote student belonging, achievement and wellbeing across Year 8 cohorts

Qualifications

• SC1 Demonstrated expert knowledge of the relevant curriculum and the ability to lead and manage school priorities.
• SC2 Demonstrated ability to plan and implement high impacto teaching strategies to meet student needs.
• SC3 Demonstrated ability to monitor and use data to drive improvements and communicate progress to students and parents.
• SC4 Exemplary interpersonal and leadership skills with capacity to collaborate across teams, students, parents and the school community.
• SC5 Demonstrated alignment with Department values and ability to model professional learning and growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage whole-school improvement initiatives aligned to the SSP and priorities.
• Coordinate curriculum planning and delivery to support Year 8 programs and VTLM 2.0.
• Lead PLCs, coach teachers and drive evidence-informed practice.
• Monitor student engagement, wellbeing and achievement using data to inform interventions.
• Foster partnerships with families and community to support student belonging and transition.
• Contribute to policy development and professional learning through collaboration and mentoring.
