Job summary

Bowens is seeking a driver/warehouse assistant to pick, pack and deliver customer orders across Victoria. You will use a company vehicle to provide timely, professional service and support yard duties as required.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, a willingness to perform physical tasks, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Health and safety standards are a priority, with opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of timber and hardware is advantageous.
• Deliver outstanding customer service.
• Physically capable of lifting and moving stock.
• Good organisational skills; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack orders from picking slips and prepare for delivery.
• Safely deliver customer orders to designated locations using company vehicle.
• Conduct pre-delivery vehicle checks and report maintenance issues.
• Serve customers and ensure an outstanding customer experience.
• Put stock away and keep the yard neat and tidy.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Pick and pack customer orders from picking slips to ensure they are prepared accurately and ready for the agreed delivery time
• Safely deliver customer orders to their designated locations using a company vehicle, ensuring timely and professional service
• Conduct pre-delivery vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues promptly
• Serving customers and ensuring they receive an outstanding customer experience
• Putting stock away
• Cleaning the yard and ensuring it is neat and tidy at all times

We are looking for an individual who possesses the below skills:

• A valid driver's license and a safe driving record
• Knowledge of Timber and Hardware is advantageous but not essential
• Able to deliver outstanding customer service
• A capability to undertake physical tasks safely
• Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
• Ability to work independently as well as contribute as a team member
