Job summary

WorkPac in Rockhampton is seeking a reliable warehousing professional to support receiving, storage and dispatch of components for heavy industries. You will maintain the laydown area, unload deliveries with a forklift, and ensure accurate receipting of orders.

The role involves coordinating with workshop personnel, performing housekeeping, and assisting stores with stocktakes and picking/ staging tasks. A valid Driver's Licence and an HR Forklift Licence are required, with basic computer

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Driver's Licence.
• HR forklift licence is essential.
• Basic computer literacy required.
• Previous experience in a similar warehousing/industrial role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain laydown area to approved plan.
• Keep laydown area tidy and organised.
• Liaise with waste and maintenance contractors.
• Conduct housekeeping in workshop, laydown areas, amenities and car park.
• Receive goods: inspect deliveries, unload with forklift, receipting against docket.
• Dispatch goods: prepare components for freight, label and load.
• Transfer components between bays using forklift.
• Assist stores: stocktake, receipts and picking/ staging.

About Our Client:

Leading cooling components repair specialist in Australia, proudly providing the heavy industries with unmatched quality to maintain and improve asset performance.

Roster:

• Monday to Thursday 6am to 3pm
• Friday 5am to 2pm
• 8hr days, 2 x 30 min breaks
• 40hr week

What you will need:

• Drivers Licence
• HR Forklift License
• Basic Computer Literacy
• Previous experience in similar role

What you will be doing:

Maintain laydown area to approved plan

• Ensure laydown area is kept organised and tidy
• Liaising with waste and general maintenance contractors
• Conduct housekeeping including in the workshop, laydown areas, amenities and car park

Receive goods

• Take photos of customers jobs on delivery
• Unload deliveries using forklift or appropriate manual handling methods
• Collect and deliver delivery docket to Administration Officer


• Collect and attach tags to all components and parts in the laydown area


• Collect parts and consumables by light vehicle


• Check deliveries against docket for receipting


• Store components, parts and consumables as per approved plan


• Record location of all components and parts within the laydown area

Dispatch goods

• Prepare components for freight including detailing, packaging and labelling


• Load components for freight using forklift or appropriate manual handling methods


• Take photos of loaded components


• Deliver and collect parts and components via medium rigid vehicle

Transfer components between bays with forklift

• Liaise with the workshop personnel on workshop requirements


• Prepare components and parts in advance for workshop


• Transfer components between bays as required using forklift

Assist stores where required

• Stocktake


• Receipt goods received


• Pick and stage parts
