Job summary

WorkPac is seeking a Heavy Diesel Fitter for their NSW mining downtime and maintenance operations. You will perform ongoing maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on Caterpillar, Komatsu and Hitachi equipment, adhering to safety standards and cost targets.

To succeed, you should hold a current Heavy Vehicle or Mobile Plant trade qualification with at least 2 years post-trade experience. DIDO with camp provided and a 7/7 day/night roster are included in the package.

Qualifications

• Current Heavy Vehicle or Mobile Plant Trade Qualification.
• Minimum 2 years post-trade experience on heavy earthmoving equipment.
• Experience on Caterpillar, Komatsu and Hitachi equipment.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
• High Risk Work Licences including Dogging, Rigging, Crane or EWP (highly regarded).

Responsibilities

• Conducting ongoing maintenance, servicing and repairs on heavy mining equipment.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical faults on Caterpillar, Komatsu and Hitachi machinery.
• Completing preventative and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Ensuring maintenance repairs are completed in accordance with company standards and cost targets.
• Providing support to the Emeco rental fleet as required.

About Our Client:

Our client is a leading provider of heavy earthmoving equipment solutions to the mining industry across Australia.

What you will be doing:

• Conducting ongoing maintenance, servicing and repairs on heavy mining equipment


• Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical faults on Caterpillar, Komatsu and Hitachi machinery
