Job summary

United Rentals in Australia is seeking a hands-on Yard Operator to prepare, organise and maintain rental equipment, operate machinery and support branch operations.

You will inspect, clean, test and stage gear, load/unload with forklifts, arrange yard storage, conduct safety checks and help customers with pick-up and return. Applicants with forklift LF licence preferred.

With a mix of equipment handling, customer interaction and yard activities, no two days are the same.

What You'll Be Doing

• Inspecting and preparing rental equipment for customer collection and return.

What We’re Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys physical, hands-on work and takes pride in keeping equipment and work areas organised and ready for action. You'll ideally bring:

• Experience in equipment hire, construction, transport, logistics, warehousing, manufacturing or a similar industry.
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Forklift operating experience and a current LF Licence (preferred).
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliability, initiative and a willingness to learn.
